Paris Hilton Interview
Hilton: I do not know. I am an actress, a brand, a businesswoman. I'm all kinds of things.
AP: If you could choose only one ...
Hilton: An actress.
AP: So all these – the parties, modeling, the reality show - was only part of the path to a acting career?
Hilton: Yes, I suppose.
AP: Have you read everything that journalists write about you? Do you see the tabloids?
Hilton: I don’t read anything about that. I see only the photos, to see what I used last week and if it was cute.
AP: Have you read blogs?
Hilton: What is that?
AP: Well, it’s on the Internet where people writes about news and stuff.
Hilton: No, I don’t really read anything on the Internet except my AOL email. I do not like people who sits on the computer all day and writes about people of whom they know nothing.
AP: Paris, you have just described my work.
(Her publicist, Rob Shuter, laughs).
AP: What was that you wanted to be when you were little?
Hilton: Veterinary, but then I realized that I could buy lots of animals and with that... was enough.
AP: Well, let's talk about the film. I bet you had millions of scripts waiting at your door, why did you chose, House of Wax?
Hilton: It's a fun movie about teenagers. When I had the script, I was the original one and I thought it was funny and chilling. And also it was by Joel Silver. I know Joel since I was small, so I was quite excited when they, the production, asked me to be in one of their films. He is a Hollywood’s legend.
AP: Tell me about your character, Paige.
Hilton: She's very sexy. It is a village girl.
AP: You made many scenes with kisses, how was that? Because you said you never wanted to do scenes with kisses included.
Hilton: It was hard, because I never did anything like that before. My ex-boyfriend now (referring to Paris Latsis) was very jealous about it, but then I realized that was just a movie
AP: What boyfriend?
Hilton: I would not even say his name.
AP: At the beginning of the movie, some scenes were filmed with a homemade camera. Who was the idea from?
Hilton: That was in the script. I just followed him. I want to teach people that I can laugh at myself and not take things so seriously.
AP: How long you took to reach that point?
Hilton: I do not know.
AP: What's your favorite horror movie?
Hilton: I like a lot old ones, dark classics like the Freddy Kruger and The Shining. Jack Nicholson is terrible.
AP: Who would you like to make it your new secondary character in the new Simple Life?
Hilton: I want it to be Kim (Stewart, Rod Stewart’s daughter), but it could be anyone. I do not know.
AP: Have you spoken to Nicole about the big breakup?
Hilton: No, we have not talked for a while. I've been very busy with my boyfriend and a movie and everything. She has been busy, too. It was committed.
AP: But what do you do in the Simple Life 4?
Hilton: Go to Maui.
AP: Why?
Hilton: They want something more sexy, they wants us more in bathing suit and those things.
AP: But...what are you going to do?
Hilton: I do not know. We could work as lifesavers or in a hotel or something.
AP: Baywatch tried that and it didn’t work.
Hilton: What did they tried?
AP: They went from the United States to Hawaii, which is technically the United States. Either way, it did not work.
Hilton: (Got quiet for a moment).
AP: Is there anything written for Simple Life?
Hilton: Not really. That's what we're trying to do, getting it fresh. I mean, not like the first season.
AP: What's hot in entertainment? What you see on TV programs? What music are you listening?
Hilton: I only see The Simple Life. I do not have time to see anything else. I like hearing 50 Cent, Maroon 5, Britney Spears.
AP: What do you think of Britney doing crazy stuff and getting pregnant?
Hilton: I love it. She had been talking about laying head, marry and have children. I think it's good. (She and Kevin Federline) are cute together.
AP: But they are not together anymore.
Hilton: Well, how bad.
AP: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hilton: I do not know. Married to my boyfriend with two children and a house. Acting and doing things yet.
AP: What kind of wife would you be?
Hilton: A very good one. I will cook and clean (laughing).
AP: But...you don’t now how to keep a house clean? Do you?
Hilton: I would learn how to but if I couldn’t I would hired a housekeeper.
AP: How would you call your children?
Hilton: Paris and London.
AP: Is Paris the girl? Is London the boy?
Hilton: Yeah.
AP: Why are you so popular?
Hilton: I do not know, but I am. I'm not like anyone. I’m an American princess.
AP: What would it be if you were - I don’t know – emmm, Paris Smith?
Hilton: It would be the same. Who knows, maybe, I would have been veterinary.
AP: In your career, what would it be your biggest fear?
Hilton: I do not know. Nothing.
AP: Nothing? What in your personal life?
Hilton: I don't know. The death.
AP: Why? Are you afraid of death?
Hilton: Yes, because I don't know what happens.
AP: Me too, Paris. So it sounds like you're entering a new stage of your life with this talking, speaking of children, marriage. Have you thought about that?
Hilton: I've been away since I was 16. I overcame Latsis (her boyfriend) he really doesn’t like that whole photographers scene. We prefer to stay at home and cook together.
AP: You don’t know how to cook? Do you?
Hilton: I don’t but he does so I look.
AP: Paris, thanks for your time and have a nice day!
Hilton: You are welcome...
